Certificate Series : Certificate in Data Analysis

Tuition: $495.00

Description: This is the Self Study Certificate Series - Classes will start upon registration

Data Analysis is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after skills in the workplace. Companies have vast amounts of data, but it is rare to have someone with the ability to analyze that data to see trends and make predictions. Add a whole new skill set to your portfolio, and make a big difference in the success of your organization by acquiring data analysis skills.

Begin with getting a basic understanding of how to analyze data in a business setting. Then learn how many of your business decisions involve comparing groups for differences. You will know the statistics behind these group differences and relationships. Finally you will find out how to perform inquiries that will be useful to your business or organization, and have the skill necessary to communicate these results through graphs and text that your fellow employees will understand. Whether your business is home based or a large company, this certificate will take you to the next level where important decision-making is concerned.

Certificate : Herbalism Certificate

Tuition: $355.00

Description: Herbal therapy is the oldest and most widespread form of healing on planet earth! It is currently experiencing a revival in North America (since the mid-1980s), after a lull which transpired from the early 1900s with the advent of orthodox medicine and its array of drugs. Generally regarded as safer and just as effective (if not more effective) as orthodox medicine, herbalism is a science and art that can be successfully learned and utilized by the lay person. Through the use of tinctures, glycerites, teas, capsules, poultices, compresses, and salves, students enrolled in this course will learn to apply herbal therapy to support the constitution with reference to an array of conditions from A to Z, in consideration of guidelines as to indications, dosage, and contraindications.

NEW! This series has now been extended to 8 classes to expand on the depth of materials and deeper exploration of the history and development of Herbal Therapy.

Students Reviews:

"I took Dr. Manvikar’s all six Ayurveda class sessions at normandale community college. I found it to be a great class for anyone who would like to get a foundation of Ayurveda concepts. The class was very well structured, methodically taught and gradually progressed from introduction of Ayurveda to tips for healthy lifestyle through diet & nutrition. Dr. Manvikar did an excellent job in providing a basic understanding of how we are part of the nature in this universe and with this idea in mind, we were able to relate and understand material in all six sessions. This knowledge certainly provides a variety of simple and powerful techniques for anyone to lead a healthy lifestyle and enrich body, mind and spirit."
