The AHIMA-approved Medical Coding and Billing program helps students prepare for the Certified Coding Specialist – Physician-based (CCS-P), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), and Certified Billing & Coding Specialist (CBCS) certification exams. Topics studied include healthcare information management, electronic medical records and systems, healthcare delivery systems, reimbursement methodologies, medical terminology, anatomy, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS code sets. In addition to personalized instructor and graduate support, students receive e-books, industry codebooks, access to an online reference library, and a voucher for one of the above mentioned national certification exams.
 
Students who focus full-time on this program can finish the training in 6-9 months. Part-time students have up to 12 months to finish the program. Students will receive comprehensive technical support throughout the course and full access to online career services, including resume review, reference letters, graduate consultations and other job placement help. This is a non-credit course and does not qualify for federal financial aid.
