Medical assisting is becoming a must-have skill set for anyone interested in working in the healthcare industry – whether you want to become a care giver or work in an operational or administrative role. Medical assistants work in physicians’ offices, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Salaries vary by employer, location, and experience, but the U.S. Department of Labor* reports that the middle 50% of medical assistants earn between $26,080 and $36,800 a year.
