Menopause is a natural transition when one of the female hormones’, estrogen decreases. Typically menopause occurs at the age of 45-55 years when menstruation stops gradually or in some women drastically.
In Ayurveda, menopause is described as a natural transition of the aging process and does not reflect any disease. It can be effectively managed through diet, lifestyle changes, stress management practices and herbs advised by the holistic healthcare system, Ayurveda.
In this class, participants will explore symptoms of menopause, causes of the symptoms, the physical as well as psychological changes a woman goes through. They will leave the class with a tool kit containing ayurvedic routines, yoga, pranayama, diet, and lifestyle changes to manage your menopause. Please bring a yoga mat to class. If you do not have one, one will be provided for you.
