The purpose of your adrenal glands is to help your body cope with stresses and survive. It is their job to enable your body to deal with stress from every possible source ranging from injury and disease to work and relationship problems. Your resiliency, energy and endurance and your very life all depend on their proper functioning. Symptoms include PMS, carb and sweet cravings, being tired in the afternoon and having a 2nd wind at night. Learn more about adrenal fatigue, signs and symptoms, coping with stress and solutions to healing.

Three Health Systems Approach Series
This 3-part series will enable you to gain a thorough understanding of your Interactive and complex system of Hormones. Dr. Preston will provide you with practical applications and tools to implement immediately and effectively.

Symptoms of insomnia, weight gain especially around the middle, irritability, crying for no reason, sweet and cravings, are all indicators of hormone imbalance. The original issue may have started with hormonal imbalance, adrenal gland fatigue or Thyroid trouble. All of these issues and symptoms are interrelated and affect one another. It is impossible to alleviate Thyroid issues without fixing the Adrenal glands. When the adrenal glands are fatigued (which are your ‘stress handling’ glands), the female hormones will be affected negatively resulting in weight gain, irritability, insomnia, hot flashes, fibrocystic breast disease and PCOS. The most effective approach is to address all three systems, i.e. Adrenal Glands, Female Hormones, and Thyroid.
