This course is a continuation of Russian Level 1. You will further develop your Russian language skills through peer-to-peer interaction and dialog. Students will learn about Russian traditions and holidays, and how to survive a night out on the town. Russia is famous for its parties—the biggest and most important of which take place on New Year’s Eve. 
The goals are:
  1. Learn about Russian traditions, sayings, and the Russian toast
  2. Get acquainted with Russian cuisine and the vocabulary necessary to order food in a restaurant
  3. Expand your knowledge: important words and phrases, specific scenario-based dialogue
  4. Practice group- and partner-based dialog between peers
  5. Learn the basics: food, animals, colors, months
  6. Further develop your reading, listening, and speaking/pronunciation skills
  7. Get acquainted with the basics of Russian grammar and sentence structure 
  8. Develop your Russian language skills relating to social settings
