« back to classes page
The Feldenkrais Method is a form of somatic education that uses gentle movement and directed attention to improve movement and enhance well-being and daily functioning. This class is for anyone who wants to learn to reconnect with your natural abilities to move, think and feel. Through verbally-guided sequence of gentle movements, you will develop a greater awareness of how you move. You will become more aware of your habitual neuromuscular patterns and expand your options for new ways of moving. Through this Method, you can learn to move with less effort, improve your flexibility, balance and coordination, improve your posture and breathing, and feel more comfortable and relaxed in your daily life. (Lessons are done lying on the floor. Participants must be able to move independently to and from the floor.)
