  • This certificate program will introduce best practices of Professional Holistic Aromatherapy from a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist. You will learn how essential oils affect mind, body, and spirit; appropriate ways to use oils; and create your own take-home blend. This foundational knowledge can be applied immediately to improve your well-being, reduce stress levels, and help your friends and family use oils safely and economically. Learning will be fun and interactive through lecture, discussion and hands on practical wisdom. Note: Student oil/materials kits are available for purchase in class, but not required. Textbook recommendation (but not required): The Complete Guide to Aromatherapy 2004 (2nd edition) by Salvatore Battaglia. Available from Instructor for $109 or major book retailers.
     
  • Class is valuable for nurses, massage and shiatsu therapists, mental health care providers, retailers, acupuncturists, senior, hospice and palliative care providers, or for anyone who wants clear, detailed information and education of Clinical Aromatherapy practices.
     
  • Course Objectives:
    • Understand the scope and potential of essential oil therapies - for home and professionally
    • Discover exactly "how" essential oils have an affect our mind, body and spirit
    • Begin  to choose your oils intelligently based on their chemistry, aroma energetics and safety information
    • Learn how to use essential oils via inhalers, diffusers, baths, compresses and topically
    • Get clear guidelines for use on children, elderly, and understand contra indications of use
    • Create your own take home blend of oils, using your new skills!
